New Delhi, India

Back in New Delhi, I saw many temples today!  The first that we went to was a Sikh Temple.  The Sikh Indians are supposed to be guardians of the Koran.  The temple we went to was a Gurudwara.  We had to take off our shoes and were prohibited from taking pictures inside, because it is where the holy writings are kept.   The temple was made of marble and had gold on it, which made it very hard to look at.

We also went to a Hindu temple, and a Buddhist temple.  The Buddhist temple was painted in the bright colors characteristic to India.

We took a drive past the government buildings and President’s home and finally drove past the Red Fort, which was similar to Agra Fort.  In the past it had been the capital of India, but was not used for that purpose before.

We returned to Lazeez Affaire for lunch and then headed to the airport.  I was seated right next to the emergency exit, so they had to explain how to use it and see if I was willing to help in case of an emergency.  Although I had no window in this seat, I had twice as much leg space as anyone else.  My tv was also kept in the armrest, so when I took it out, it sat right in front of me, making it the coolest one on the plane.  :)
